During her time at Beauchamp, Laura loved her German lessons and the enriching German Exchange trips. She also fondly remembers spending time with friends in the Sixth Form area, enjoying music and the infamous chicken wraps from the canteen. The support she received from her teachers and the memorable experiences really helped her with her next steps.
After Beauchamp, Laura embarked on a diverse journey. She spent a gap year working at a summer camp in the United States and traveling the country. She then pursued Accounting and Finance at De Montfort University, graduating in 2016 after a year-long NHS placement. Her first job post-graduation provided valuable learning experiences, prompting her to rethink her career path. Laura eventually found her passion in the Higher Education sector, working first in events and now assisting prospective students at schools and colleges.
Laura’s story is a great reminder to pursue what you enjoy and you will find your path through experience and resilience.
