Jassa Ahuluwalia – Actor, Director, Producer & Musician

Graduated from Beauchamp in 2006

Jassa has presented on ‘Art Attack’, starred on the BBC hit comedy ‘Some Girls’ and the BBC film the ‘Whale’. He has also been nominated for the series ‘Ripper Street’ and blockbuster ‘The Bible’, he has also produced short films.

Fagun Ivy Thakrar – Actress, Producer & Fashion Designer

Fagun competed against thousands of contestants to win BBC’s ‘Bolly Idol’, which led to her being offered her first lead stage role. She has also starred in cinematic roles including Nabeela in the film ‘Brick Lane’. She has also starred in the BBC hospital TV series ‘Holby City’. Fagun has also performed in several Shakespeare plays and has also appeared in commercials.

Victoria Murphy – Daily Mirror Royal Reporter

Victoria Murphy is the Royal Reporter for the Daily Mirror. In her role she has reported the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton and also had the opportunity to travel with them on their following tour of Canada and California.


David Shrigley – Artist (Turner Prize nominee)

David was nominated for the Turner prize in 2013 for the retrospective of his work at the Haywood Gallery in London. He is well know for producing mordantly humorous cartoons. He has produced several books and directed the Video for Blur’s ‘Good Song’ and regularly contributes cartoons for The Guardian’s Weekend magazine.

Peter was a correspondant for the Guardian, ex-editor for the New Statesman and former editor of the Mail on Sunday.

Graduate from Beauchamp in 1995

In 1998 Drew studied at the University of
Cambridge before going on to study a PhD
at the University of York, followed by a Post Doc at
Princeton. After an eight-year journey with Microsoft
Research, he was then approached by DeepMind to help
design virtual environments. Drew is the Co-Creator
of the Madingley Model, and was included in Wired
Magazine’s 2012 ‘Smart List’ as one of 50 people who will
change the world.


Graduate from Beauchamp in 1995

Rhaana studied Astrophysics (MSci) at St.
Andrews University, then working as a Research Assistant
at the Harvard- Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics
before taking up a PhD position at UCL. Research for her
PhD continued at the University of Leicester, where she
now resides as an Associate Professor. In 2011, Rhaana
was awarded a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship,
and has been a co-chair for NASA review panels and an
operations scientist for NASA Swift mission.


Luke joined the Leicester City Academy in 2008, having played locally in Leicestershire when he was younger. Luke signed a contract with Leicester City Football Club and made his debut for them  in July 2020. In May 2021, Luke was part of the FA-Cup Winning Leicester team. 

John Merricks – Olympic Sailor

John represented England at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta where he received the silver medal in the 470 class along with his sailing partner, Ian Walker.
