We are incredibly excited about the prospect of seeing young people develop during their time at Beauchamp and want to work closely in partnership with parents/carers and their children. Making a decision about where to send your child to study can often be difficult, however we believe that Beauchamp offers the very best opportunity for academic success and the most rewarding journey from Year 7 to 11 and onto KS5, work, or further training.
The high standards and aspirations of our young people coupled with inspirational teaching means students at Beauchamp College demonstrate exceptional achievement and we are proud of the fact that Beauchamp is consistently placed among the best schools in Leicestershire and beyond. This success is based on the commitment and curiosity of the wonderful Beauchamp students, encouraging parent/carer engagement, the enthusiasm and experience of all staff, and the supportive monitoring of academic and holistic development of all learners.
As our students come from a range of cultural, ethnic, economic, linguistic and faith backgrounds, this has greatly enriched our daily college experience as we learn together and from one another. Inspired by this diversity we believe in pursuing excellence and equity for all. As a result, every year our students prove they can compete successfully in all fields as they move onto university, work and other training opportunities such as apprenticeships.
We feel privileged to work at Beauchamp and believe it is a fantastic college that provides our students with a high quality education, continual support and a huge range of other opportunities. To get a flavour of this we invite all prospective students and their parents/carers for a tour of our college during the college day so that you can get a true view of our daily college routine.
Over the last two years, Beauchamp has run close to 100 trips. Some of the highlights included trips to France, Tanzania and Los Angeles. Out-of-classroom learning makes a unique contribution to a students’ education and offers many varied benefits. At Beauchamp College students have many opportunities to access these activities within various departments. During the Summer of 2018 students and staff travelled to Tanzania to take part in voluntary work with Camps International. In 2020 a similar trip will take place to Costa Rica. Students have also had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles with Media Studies. A ski trip to Austria is planned for 2019 which will enable many students to demonstrate their resilience, as they master their technique. Many UK residentials have also taken place during the year.
At Beauchamp, our aim is to provide a curriculum that engages and challenges all students and supports our vision of academic excellence and holistic development. The introduction of our KS3 provision in September 2017 has enabled us to view our curriculum as a 7 year journey which will equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to progress through life with confidence and engender a life-long love of learning.
On behalf of all students, staff, governors and parents, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and to Beauchamp’s Alumni Society. Let me take this opportunity to introduce the aims of the Alumni Society to you and commend its intention to seek your involvement and support for our students and for your past college.

Before applying, students should download the Student Guide to Work Experience 2019/2020. Read this document and discuss the options with your parent/carer. You should do this before completing the work experience application forms.
Parents / Guardians should download the Work Experience Parent/Carer Guide. This will guide you through the work experience process.
Students who do not complete the application form correctly will delay their application.
Students who would like to arrange their own work placements must complete both the Beauchamp application form and the self-placement form.
Students in Y10 should look for work experience that is going to give them a general insight into the world of work. Don’t worry too much about getting experience in your chosen career aim. Try something different or something you know you will enjoy. The main aim is to get some work experience.
If you have any questions related to our work experience offer LEBC will be holding an information session at the Beauchamp College Careers Fair on Tuesday 1st October 2019.
