Cambridge National Level 2 Creative IT
From personal computers to smartphones, from websites to apps, all of our lives are enhanced through the use of IT and mediaThe Cambridge National in Creative iMedia equips students with the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector. The course starts with pre-production and allows students to develop their skills through practical assignments as they create final multimedia products.

There are two centre assessed units offering practical task-based assessment, alongside the examined unit of assessment which students will sit in the May of their second year. The completed course leads to a grade between Distinction* to Pass.
UNIT CONTENT
Units studied within the course are:
- Creative iMedia in the media industry
- Visual identity and digital graphics
- Digital games
Students will develop a range of skills to help them succeed not only in the workplace, but in other subjects too. These skills include:
- Analytical skills
- Digital presentation skills
- Creative thinking
- Problem solving
- Research and planning
No matter what you progress on to – the skills learnt from this course will prepare students for the future.
CAREER PROGRESSION
Students will develop skills, knowledge and understanding through this qualification which are relevant to both work and further study. It will support students in a range of subject areas such as Cambridge Technicals in IT or Music Technology, A Level in Media, or Further Education. This qualification will also support progression into employment through Apprenticeships in areas such as Digital Marketer, Creative/Design or IT. This course could be the first step to a career as a Games Developer, Comic Book Writer, Graphic Designer, and more.
