GCSE PE

Students should have a genuine interest in sport and physical activity.

In order to get a good grade in the practical side of GCSE PE they need to be playing regularly in lessons, school clubs and clubs outside of college.

Ideally students will already be playing regularly for a club outside of college as well as participating practically during lessons, extra curricular and possibly for the college teams

We run lots of extra curricular clubs over the year at Beauchamp College, including: Boys Football, Girls Football, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Badminton, Cricket, Trampolining, Table Tennis, Softball, Athletics, Rounders, Tennis

  • 30% – 3 practical sports
  • 10% – Controlled assessment

In theory lessons you will learn about lots of different topics including fitness, health, diet, the skeletal and muscular systems and how the body responds to exercise.

In practical lessons you will take part in a range of sports including football, badminton, basketball and tennis.
