The AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics places an emphasis on higher order technical proficiency, rigorous argument and problem-solving skills.
We offer Level 2 Further Mathematics qualification to stretch and challenge our most able mathematicians in Key Stage 4. It is aimed at those students who are likely to achieve at least grade 7 at GCSE Mathematics and who may progress to A-level study in Mathematics and possibly Further Mathematics. The course offers a greater depth and breadth of study of topics such as algebra and geometry and introduces new areas of mathematics including calculus and matrices.

Assessment is linear: paper 1, the written paper (non-calculator) carries 40 per cent of marks and paper 2, written paper (calculator) carries 60 per cent of marks.
