Foyles Young PoetS Competition
Congratulations to Year 13 student Amy who recently attended an awards ceremony at the Globe Theatre in London to receive a certificate as a Foyle Young Poet 2023!The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is the biggest and most prestigious poetry award for young people in the world, and there were over 16,000 entries this year from over 100 countries.
Every year, 100 poets are selected as the Foyle Young Poets of the Year (15 top and 85 commended) - and this year Amy’s been lucky enough to be one of the commended!
Amy’s poem will be published online in the spring and will appear in the anthologies being sent out to schools.
